Yesterday was July 4, 2012. We celebrated the forth of July with friends and families in the Berskshires. Early in the morning hours of July 4th, we took two of our six older children, Abijah 9, and Nechemyah 8 for a 6 KM (3miles) race through the city of Pittsfield. At least 3000 people took part in the race. This is the first time, our children participated in 3 miles race. We were very encouraged by their tenacity. They finished the race successfully.
In the afternoon, we went to visit Toby and Cameo Casey in Pittsfield. They invited us with 3 other families from our Hope Church family to celebrate July 4th. It was very refreshing to all of us as we reflected on God’s plan for America as a nation during this important day. We sang a number of inspiring songs, prayed and broke bread with our families. As it was drawing night, we went home and watched some fire works in the neighborhood.
